The word of God created the heaven and the earth. The word is being fulfilled through history till this day and it will continue to be fulfilled until the coming of the Lord. Therefore, all who have heard and believed the word of God and then obey without deviation will see that their lives are in the stronghold of all things in the world. They will surely see themselves becoming the intercessors and watchmen of their era. All the things around them will work for the good because of them and their prayers, such that they may benefit and God’s glory may manifest. However, these days, despite hearing the word of God, the thoughts and desires in the hearts of many believers remain very much estranged from God’s. But because of their outward piety, they mistakenly thought that they have obeyed the word of God. In fact, the truth of the word of God has yet to become the focus of their heart. On the contrary, although they are physically in church, their hearts are fixated on the earthly, temporal and changeable things, specifically viewing things which should be secondary (pleasures, successes, wealth, status, fame, including the blessings/experiences given by God) as the primary. With regard to the promise that God has blessed them with (i.e. the promise to spread the gospel to bless all nations and peoples), they are neither hot nor cold, or they accept it as duty, never trying to find themselves in the promise. Actually, the problem of these people is not their absence in church, lack of serving, lack of zeal or that they have never experienced God’s help, etc. Instead, they are all very serious in their faith living, and they consider themselves believers. But in their entire faith living, they have always misunderstood the key points of the word of God. Because their hearts are not upright, they may be always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. Thus, they cannot receive the heart of God from the word of God. After being in such faith living for a long time, they will gradually develop a hardened nature and start to rationalise their faith to their own convenience. Although they listen to the sermon, they cannot grasp the essence. Therefore, they are still unable to truly submit to God. Therefore, through the accomplished work of Jesus Christ, God wants to put His Spirit in us and move us to follow His decrees and be careful to keep His laws. <Ez 36:27>
