When the grace of Christ comes upon a person, the unprecedented transformation comes upon him. However, this transformation begins in the spirit enabling one to understand the truth which his flesh could not, that is - because of Christ now he has gotten the identity as child of God, received a new life new destiny, and can now enter the heavenly kingdom. The transformation brought about by this realization (belief) occurs in the spirit of man, the grace of God has come upon him and enabled him to born again, that is not from man’s decision. Therefore, God’s Holy Spirit has simultneously come unto him, becoming the master and guide of his life. Since then, the Holy Spirit will launch the progressive and genuine renewal in his life (through the truth of God), causing him to experience true transformation in his thoughts, ideas, character, living, dealings with things and people, and all other kinds of conditions. In contrary, if a person only understands certain religious truths, learns about some moral standards, being influenced by the surrounding or certain conditions – all these may have impacted his perception and emotion leading to some external changes or improvement in certain bad behaviors or habits – but because this is not the transformation brought about by the Holy spirit through one listening and believing in the gospel, this change is not fundamental and thus will not have an absolute and permanent effect. Probably, such person may have some change in his emotions or actions, but this is not a fundamental change. After a man believes in Christ and receives the Holy Spirit, He is continuously working in his heart and truly protecting his grace, and continues to illuminate, correct and renew him according to the word of God (truth). Therefore, it makes a person to have infinite transformation, from being carnal to being spiritual, desiring earthly things to desiring heavenly things, and from receiving teachings from man to receiving the teachings of the Lord in his heart. Such person has progressive transformation because of his faith in Christ and the showering of the Holy Spirit; it does not come from own motivation, optimism, determination, or people and environment influences. Such transformation is genuine and will definitely lead to man genuinely testifying about God. Not only does he testify in smooth sailing situations, even in trials or weaknesses, he can still bring out beautiful testimony and reveal the Lord in his heart.
