The “Good” that God Promises <Ro 8:28; 2 Co 11:24-30>

1. <Ro 8:28> is Paul’s real experience and the truth God revealed

1) Paul’s suffering, Paul’s blessedness

2) Not “good” first, but “God”

3) The ultimate good that God gives to those whom He loves, is “salvation”

2. All things work according to God’s plan, they are not operating by chance 

1) In all things God works for the good – He works through good and evil

2) Some people deny God in their sufferings, but instead believe that man’s determination can overcome all things

3. How does the good that God promises teach us about dealing with the sufferings in life today?

1) We do not boast about our own sufferings, but boast about our weaknesses

2) We learn all the more to seek God’s grace
