Challenges of Teaching Children <Ep 6:4; 2 Ti 3:1-5; Pr 22:15; De 6:4-9>

1. Twofold challenges in teaching children

1)     Challenges faced by parents from the children’s external environment

2)     Challenges faced by parents from the children’s sinful nature

2.     Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord

1)     Not what you did, but what you did not do

2)     Sad case of modern psychology

3.    How to not exasperate your children?

1)    How to avoid conflict if there is a need to teach, warn and restrain?

2)   Frequently, rather than occasionally, talk about the topic of faith

(1) Teach children the holiness of God, so that they know how to fear God

(2) Explain the sin of man clearly, and help them acknowledge their own sins

(3) Let the children know the redemptive work of Christ, and let them know why we need Him every day

(4) Let your children follow the Lord in faith, and lead a set-apart life
