Believers Ought to Pursue Holy Living <Col 3:1-17> 

1. Faith that tells us we are already in heaven with Christ 

1) Understanding the “already but not yet” life of Christians

① Christ is victorious over all things

② Our lives are already in Him, receiving His intercession and help

③ Our end is glorious

2) Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things

2. Holy living starts with putting to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature

1) What God sees as unholy

2) Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

3) Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature

3. Holy living encompasses loving your neighbour as yourself

1)  God’s holiness will surely test how we live with sinners 

2) Over all our virtues, we must put on love

4. Ultimately, holy living will lead to giving glory to God through thanksgiving
