The birth of Christ is a story that is told in churches and in the whole world for two thousand years. But the spiritual mysteries within it are not something everyone understands. The power that comes from the birth of Christ is not something every believer knows how to enjoy. Actually, after man has fallen, he enters into the state of ‘ignorance’ and ‘powerlessness’. Say for example: if a person has yet to realise that he is a king, he would not know how to exercise the authority of a king; if a person has yet to understand the truth that God is with him, he will always rely on man’s limited power. In conclusion, man is trapped in a spiritual state of ‘ignorance’ and ‘powerlessness’. Ignorant that: Actually God loves us and the people around us, He is guiding, helping, protecting and fulfilling us with His pair of all-powerful hands, so that people around us are blessed because of us. If we do not know and do not have the conviction, we will naturally have no power to seek the Lord, and also no power to love the people around us and commit them to the Lord. But between knowing and having power is the revelation of Christ Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. The truth is, Christ’s birth is the revelation of history, which brings about what the people normally believe, know and rely on. Lord Jesus was born in Bethlehem (the smallest town in Judah), but the truth is He was born as a king; He grew up in Galilee of Nazareth (a city inhabited by very uncouth and unreasonable people), yet that was the place where our Lord Jesus lived for 30 years, that was also the place where He was prepared to start His ministry. Today, we are all deluded by the world and cannot understand God’s “Paradoxical Emphasis”. Just when the people of the world are being deluded by worldly accomplishments and status, God continues to search for people who know that they are most dignified because they believed in Christ; just when people are all immersed in the joyous atmosphere of Christmas, God is seeking those who receive the mission of glorifying God and edifying men, which God has placed in their lives now because they knew Christ’s birth. The truth is, Christ’s birth is not a memorable story, but it is the revelation of God. Only after knowing this revelation and completely changing the awareness toward self and own life, then from that moment, one can have true power to move toward glorious life, and to bless all peoples.
