其实，我们生命最难胜过的地方就是不能将眼睛放在永恒的价值。尤其是对我们活在这安康与舒适的社会里的人，我们的心自然是逃避苦难，也倾向一切能给予我们今生的祝福的教导。在我们不知不觉中，我们就忘了永恒里的福分，专为地上的事务活。在这样的文化中，信徒很自然就沉浸在这世界中繁忙的节奏，直到我们或周围有人遭受苦难，我们便会忽然醒悟，再次发现那位用户而活的荣耀。所以，纵然我们活在一个相当舒适的社会里，我们必须对苦难（不管是周围人遭遇或是新闻中所得知的）有相当的敏感度。因为这些本是神给这时代的吹号声，是那让圣徒能不断敬虔度日，得时不得时传福音的声音。
Actually, our greatest hurdle is not putting our eyes on the eternal worth. Especially to us who live in a comfortable and smooth-sailing society, our hearts naturally evade hardship, and incline to the teachings that promise us blessings in this life. Unknowingly, we forget the eternal blessings, only focus in labouring for earthly matters. In such culture, naturally, believers will immerse into the world and the busy rhythm of life, until they witness how they and the people around them enter into tribulations, only to be awakened and realize the glory of living for the eternity. Therefore, although we may live in a comfortable society, we must be relatively sensitive to tribulations (whether we know it through people around us, or through the news). For this is the sounding trumpets God has given us in this era, so that we can continue to live a godly life, and evangelize in and out of seasons.
