When God loves a family, that family enters a timetable of “definite blessedness”. Although in all kinds of slowness, ironies, struggles, God’s love is strong to the end, it does not weaken because of man’s weaknesses. On the contrary, God’s love carries jealousy, thus He does not allow the family He loves to take the road to ruin and perish with the world. However, because every family’s spiritual situation is different, there is a timetable for God’s salvation, healing and fulfilment works in a family. Although this timetable sometimes feels like a long and hopeless wait, it is a process by which God glorifies a family. The truth is, a family’s blessed timetable is not merely a process of endurance, but it is a process of [receiving answers]. However, how can we see it is ‘receiving answers’, and not just waiting with endurance? The key lies in whether this family has an [altar]. If we look at the Bible, the beginning of Abraham’s calling was very weak, he also failed in the faith process and had many challenges. However, his entire life was a process of glory and receiving answers, that is because his family had an altar right from the start. If we carefully analyse Abraham’s life, from the time God revealed His promise to Abraham, that promise became a seal in his heart, and also the direction of his whole family. Although from then on, Abraham’s nature still had many areas unfitting with the promise, he only set up altar (called upon the Lord who revealed to him), and God’s timely guidance continued to be revealed to him. He himself continued to receive healing before God, his whole family also became more and more glorified in the eyes of God and men. Thus, we must understand, what God sees is not a family’s weak process or inadequacy, what He values is whether a family has an altar or not. God’s promise speaks of God’s presence and the purpose of being set apart, but only when a family has an altar, then it shows that the family always (even in weaknesses and lack) turns to Jehovah’s presence and His guidance of setting them apart. When a family has an altar, then it can constantly hear God’s comfort, help, power, instructions in the process of sanctification. Otherwise, family gospelisation is often an abstract and long wait only.
