<Ep 4:6>: ‘One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.’ God is sovereign above all (has absolute will towards all), He works amongst people (manifested in the gathering of the saints) and He dwells within each person (also reveals Himself to individuals in their different situations). Actually, the infinite works of the Holy Spirit are hidden between and within the relationships of saints. Therefore, in our prayers, we must learn the mystery of how to ‘receive the prayers of all, pray together with all, and pray for all’. After we are born-again, the reason why God let us remain on earth is to walk with the Lord to be fishers of men. Actually, the value of our lives lies in becoming more and more like the Lord each day and have our thoughts, desires and behaviours based on the truth. Therefore, no matter what we think, feel, speak, do, if we can base it on the truth of God’s word, that is becoming like the Lord and it is also our future crown. Besides that, God has also prepared for us glorious comrades-in-arms in our spiritual battles, who are willing to be in oneness with us, to receive the benefit of the gospel together. This is the reason why people of the early church who witnessed Christ’s ascension into heaven, must gather together. After they had seen the mystery of the Incarnated Word of God, His death and resurrection and dominion on the throne, they had a strong and compelling impulse to gather. Even the little hurts and grievances between the disciples could not stop this desire. Therefore, Pentecost came because of this. Even after 3,000 were added to the disciples during Pentecost, this was not a festive atmosphere or feeling, but because the disciple understood the truth (direction of life), so they gathered joyfully everyday, pleasing God and all people. Therefore, when we have learnt all the mystery of prayer, the most rooted and stable power that comes upon us is the heart to love all and love gathering with all. This is the ‘power of oneness, the gift of love’. No matter what amazing experiences and feelings a person receives during prayer, if he does not receive this power (the heart to meet), he has not entered the core of prayer living. When a person’s heart has the truth that ‘God is with him’, his life will naturally love and join together with others who have the truth. He will be one with them and receive the eternal inheritance together with them. The great power of the Holy Spirit is manifested here, opening up doors of evangelism for the saints, as people around them are attracted to the gospel, thus increasing the number of people who are saved, till the end of the world.
