Submitting to God is actually the easiest to do, like our instincts. It is as natural as eating when we are hungry, drinking when we are thirsty and sleeping when we are tired. Actually, every commandment of God is food for our lives, so that we would like and enjoy it, and through submission, enjoy the abundant life in God. Therefore, <Deu 30:11>: “Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach”; <1 Jn 5:3>: “In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome”. Just think about it: Is it hard to love our father? Is it hard for us to enjoy blessings? Is it easier for an imperfect man to obey God, or is it easier to must have success in this world? Is it easier to treat others with love and peace, or is it easier to hate others and compare with them? But we cannot walk in the easiest and simplest path because there is another thought in us which is deceiving, accusing and ruling over us. The fall of man is not about “being deceived once”, but it is about “entering into deception”. When the spirit of man has died, the body lives under the deception of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, he is unconsciously being deceived in all things. Man lost his consciousness of eternity (God), lost understanding and assurance of his dignified life. He also lost his judgment regarding relationships between himself and all things. Man is deceived in his goals, thoughts, judgment, emotions, speech, life, etc. Therefore, when a person has believed in Christ, he cannot just know that there is eternal life after death, nor can he just know that God exists. First and foremost, he must “come out from the deception” and practically “live in the truth that God is with him”, so that he would seek, rely on and follow God in all things. This then can be considered as truly knowing the truth and living by the truth. If one does not restore the truth in living the Christian faith, it is just religion. Although one often worships God and prays, in the practical life, he is totally following the deceiver’s (world and flesh) voice.  Therefore, when we have the accepted the Lord, the will of the Holy Spirit is to constantly bring us into the truth of God. The many false teachings, false ideas, false assumptions, false beliefs within us must start to be destroyed, and we must return to the guidance of ‘God in all things’, and restore ‘His good, pleasing and perfect will in all things’. Only when the truth is clear, can man truly submit.
