All things are created and operated through the Word of God. If a person hears, believes and obeys the Word of God, he will surely come alive, healing will take place and the Word of God in him will be spread to others unceasingly. Once, this Word of God became flesh for 33 years (the Word Incarnated), so that people can see it, receive healing and eternal life. If not for the manifestation of Christ, no one can fully understand the Word of God. In fact, Christ is the fulfillment of the Word of God. Because of His revelation, the Word of God is no longer hidden from man. When He died on the Cross, not only did the Word not die out, but instead, it spread faster. Therefore, the Lord said: whoever believes in me (have the Word of God inside him) will do the works I have been doing <Jn 14:12>; ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you <Jn 15:7>. So, do we have the Word of God in us? Is the Word we read in the Bible the Word of God? Actually, the Word of God is the Spirit of God, and it is the Spirit behind what the whole Bible is revealing. Therefore, if we do not have this spirit, we do not have the Word of God inside us, and the things we do are not based on the Word of God. Thus, we must ask, today as we often listen to sermons, pray, do good, etc, are we obeying the Word of God? If we have obeyed, do we see the Lord’s promise fulfilled? God said in <Is 55:11>: “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” But very often, after we have heard the Word of God, we do not have with us the Spirit of God when we deal with people, conduct our daily lives and in how we behave, etc, so we do not see the effect of the Word of God. For example: if you have heard what God said about the Kingdom of Heaven, but your concerns and interests are not in things of eternal nature, the Kingdom will never come upon you; if you have heard what God said about relationship with spouse/children/parents/brethren, but if your heart towards spouse/children/parent/brethren is not aligned to the Spirit of God in your interaction with them, even if you have obeyed to the letter of the Word, you will surely not see the fulfillment of the Word of God. This is because we have taken away the core of the Word of God, and that is no longer the Word of God. Actually, without the heart, we cannot obey. In the same way, if a person does not have a heart, how can he move? Besides, some people always say: I have the Word of God in me and I am convicted by it, but I cannot live it out. That is a form of self-deceit. Because, all things that enter the spirit will surely be lived out in the flesh. We should reflect on our own deeds, to see if our conviction is real, or just a form of illusory feelings or perception.
