Apostle Paul did not deem being the servant of gospel as a burden, instead, he saw gospel to be glorious. Therefore, despite being imprisoned for the purpose of evangelism, he ceaselessly proclaimed that he was not ashamed by the gospel, at the same time, he encouraged disciples not to be disheartened by the sufferings he had. Gospel itself is the power of God, and it is the only way to save not only self but all people. To be the ambassador of the gospel in this era, it is not only about having the head knowledge of knowing the gospel as most important, rather, it is also about how much our hearts hold onto this gospel, and the extent to which we can see its glory each time we spread this gospel. In fact, God’s words have not lost its glory, but many who share these words are unable to see this glory in their hearts. This is how we often unconsciously discount the words of God. Actually, the power of God’s words is manifested from the hearts of man (able to see the glory from truly believing), and not the beauty of words. Besides, we often think that we are talking about the words of God when we are sharing the gospel, but when we are talking on other topics, the state of our hearts reveals the secular values. Truly, all words from our mouths and the state of our hearts have to bring out the personality of Christ, and to God be the glory. Let me share with you a testimony: One day, when I was standing on the stage translating the word of God, I realized this distinguished spirit had come upon my life. It was not because I was honoured to be able to stand on the stage or help my pastor in the translation, rather, I discovered that each word that I said could actually bring life and death to people, and each word is a crucial key in bringing people into blessing or curse. Eventually, when I started to serve God and preach His words, what God often reminds me is: “Be bold in preaching, because the words you preach is glorious, hence, do not focus on people’s response.” Because of that, I devote my entire missionary career in confirming this mystery, and I often examine myself and serve God in my spirit. Subsequently, God convicted me again, “ Do not restrict the holiness of His words to the altar, you have to treat each word coming out of your mouth daily to be holy, because you are the vessel from which the words of God are spread.” When I confirmed the voice of God in my heart, I then realized what it means by evangelising in season and out of season; and I view the conversations I have with people daily, the opinions I offer, the emails I write, and any channels from which my opinions can be expressed, as the manifestation of Christ’s glory, and thus have to be continuously spiritualized. May we all become glorious servant of the gospel and spread this glorious gospel.
