Some believers feel the pressure when they heard the teaching on holiness, and sometimes regard it as meaningless endurance, there are two reasons to this. One, it is because they do not know the help and guidance of Holy Spirit; Second, they do not understand that the power to spread the gospel is directly related to the holiness of saints. Firstly, we need to understand that holy spirit is a spirit that enables us to like holiness and helps us to be holy. No one can live out holiness without the help of holy spirit. Therefore, saints can seek and rely on the holy spirit by meditating on the word of God repeatedly through their prayers daily, and examining what are pleasing to God in their living. If we fail to walk with God in this manner, our faith living will become dry quickly, our good deeds will become mere pretence, our values will slowly become worldly - this is because man still have to live in God’s presence.  Also, we should not regard holy living as meaningless endurance. When a believer produce fruits of holiness (goodness, righteousness and truth) through relying on the Holy Spirit, the power of influence radiated from him far surpasses the goodwill and good deed of religious people. This is because the attributes of God works through man’s emotions and motives, and it spurs the holy spirit into great work. This is just like Jesus, when he was teaching people, He displayed the authority which the teachers of the law did not have; and when Paul was shepherding the church, he displayed the fatherly love which many teachers did not have. Such holiness does not come from knowledge or out of nothing, but from Holy Spirit that truly works in man’s emotions and motives, making one indeed live like a person, a man with manliness, a woman with femininism, a father with fatherly love, a mother with motherly kindness,  and children with filial piety etc. This is how God is living in the world through man and the way He manifests His glorious holiness. Today, many pastors often talk about relying on the holy spirit to receive authority and evangelize, but they do not mention about relying on the holy spirit to live out the holiness of God and the image of His loving kindness. This is similar to living out a discounted Christ. Surely, we are not saying believers who still have weakness and sins cannot spread the gospel (because man has a sinful nature, and they battle with sins the entire lifetime), but we should not escape from the pursuit of holiness because it has the ability to shine upon people (or believers who are deeply asleep). Is Gospel a type of theory and power that cannot bring about holiness simultaneously? If a believer lives out a true and gentle life, is he not illuminating those who are putting up falsehood and with bad temperaments, and spreading gospel to them at the same time? If a believer often helps others with a willing heart, speak words that build others and bear compassion to the weaker ones, is he not displaying the holiness and richness of Christ and influencing those with sins? Moreover, if a believer covets fame of the world like other worldly people, and is as cunning and impure as them, will the gospel coming out from his mouth move holy spirit to work? In fact, living in the light itself is spreading the gospel!
