我们在追求圣洁生活时要明白三大事实,第一就是圣洁不是没有欲望欲情,乃是一个重生与变化的欲望欲情(来自新性情),使我们定义与专一的要活出主的美意。第二就是圣洁也不是重生之后在没有犯罪的倾向,相反的我们还是有犯罪的潜能(仍有罪性),所以我们惟有不断领受神的话,被圣灵掌控,才能胜过罪。这才显出主的荣耀,也是我们的冠冕。最后就是我们胜过罪的方法绝不能忍耐不犯罪,乃要时常被圣灵充满,直到我们经历顺服主的自由喜乐远超过犯罪而得的甜蜜与益处,我们才能不受罪的吸引力。这本我们心灵的原理,也是神所设计的。为何神如此设计呢?因为神愿意我们经历圣灵充满,过于我们立时能胜过罪。所以,很多信徒是只有关注要圣洁(不犯罪),但却不关注如何与主亲近、互动、顺着圣灵行。没错,罪的控告真是痛苦,神嘱咐我们不要给它留地步,但我们在制服它的事上必需有答案。所以,在我们信徒的行事为人中,惟有需要被圣灵充满,这也是神所命令的。事实上,倘若我们被圣灵充满,凡事都能胜过的。但问题是:信徒对圣灵充满有极大的误解。灵是带来人心里的取向,也是叫人找寻能力与答案的定向。倘若人有污秽的灵,他是取向污秽的文化、言语、生活,也被这些来满足。倘若人有耶稣的灵,那灵是取向听从父神,以遵行父的旨意为满足和能力。今天,信徒对福音的误解叫他们的心灵混乱,有耶稣的灵、多要得福的灵、体贴肉体的灵、戒律论断的灵、人本的灵等,全部混杂在一起,使一个人无法认定神的旨意是什么,因此不能在行事为人中一律的顺服主。所以,圣灵充满不是一个很大量的信心、热心、勇气充满,乃是单一有主基督的心。当信徒与基督的心思意念相同,各样的信心、热心、勇气、智慧等,都会跟着来。并且圣经说到被圣灵充满不是偶尔或特别情况才发生的事,乃是随时随地,在整个的时光里、行事里、凡事里都要被充满。
There are 3 main truths in our pursuit of holy living. First, holiness does not mean that one does not have desire or emotions, instead, one has the desire and emotion that come from being born again and transformation, which make him determined and focused in living out the perfect will of the Lord. Second, holiness does not mean not having the inclination to sin after being born again; we still have the tendency to sin (sinful nature remains), thus we need to continue to receive the word of God and be controlled by the Holy Spirit to overcome the sin. This is to show the glory of God and it is also our crowns. Last, the way to triumph over sins is never about to endure to refrain from sinning but to be constantly Holy Spirit filled till we can experience the freedom and joy from submitting to God, which greatly outweigh the sweetness, and benefits from the sins. It is only then we will not be attracted by the sins. Actually this is the principle of the spirit and is designed by God. Why does God design it this way? This is because God wants us to experience Holy Spirit-filled more than the immediate ability to overcome sins. Hence, many believers only focus on holiness (not sinning) but neglect drawing near to the Lord, interacting with Him, and living by the Holy Spirit. Surely, the accusation of sin is painful and God instructs us not to give it a foothold. However, we need to receive answers in this matter of overcoming sins. We only need to be Holy Spirit-filled in our ways of living, and this is the command of God. In fact, we can overcome all things if we are being Holy Spirit filled. The question is, believers have great misconception in being Holy Spirit-filled. The spirit brings about the inclination of man’s heart, and it directs one to search for strength and answers. If one has an impure spirit, his inclination is towards the impure culture, language, and living; and thus is filled by these. If one has the spirit of Jesus, the inclination of the spirit is to obey the Father, and he is satisfied and strengthened by submitting to the will of the Father. Today, the misinterpretations believers have of the gospel cause their spirits to be confused – they have Jesus’s spirit, the spirit of seeking for more blessings, the spirit that seeks to satisfy the flesh, the spirit of legalism and judgmental, the spirit of self-centeredness etc – all these are jumbled together and make one unable to know for sure what the will of God is, and thus he cannot consistently submit to the Lord in all his doings. Therefore, to be filled with the Holy Spirit is not about one being filled with immense faith, passion or courage; instead, it is about one to solely have the heart of the Christ the Lord. When believer has the same mindset as Christ, faith, passion, courage and wisdom will all come. Moreover, it is mentioned in the bible that Holy Spirit-filled does not happen only when there are special or occasional situations, rather, one has to be constantly Holy Spirit-filled in all things, in all times and in all doings.
