When Paul told Timothy: [Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus],here it talks about how the invisible influence of God comes upon a man’s heart, enabling him to go beyond his own ability and be strengthened. When our understanding can grasp the word of God, our hearts will surely be influenced by His words. The spirit that is influenced by the word of God is the proof and channel of Holy Spirit’s work，to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine. At times when we are weak and powerless, it is not because the word of God has no power, or His words are not fulfilled; rather, it is our spirits fail to see the fulfilment (not being influenced), therefore we cannot take part in what He has fulfilled. In fact, to God, there is no problem on earth that is beyond His sovereignty, and there is no place where His power cannot work. But God accomplishes all things through the spirit of man (truly believing in His words). When one truly understands this truth, he will start to walk in the path of faith, he will not rely on the power or ability in his living but the spirit of God to accomplish all things. Furthermore, he will not doubt God when he encounters setbacks; rather, he continues to seek sharper understanding of the word of God and lead his living allowing his spirit to be influenced by God’s words. In all these, he will see more clearly that, it is not him who can achieve anything; rather, it is God who works in him to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. These are believers who truly know [the meaning of grace]. In fact, the grace of God does more than enabling us to listen to the gospel, unable to resist it, and accept. This grace continues to proactively influence our hearts in accordance to His will after we are born again so that we can see and follow Him in all things. Therefore, people who have experienced such grace will never allow himself to remain in self-abased, guilt,loss, helpless etc. In contrary, he will be amazed by how God’s grace is guiding him and accomplishing all things through him. Though weak and powerless at times, he will not be self-accussed because he knows that God still love him in his weakness. Hence his heart will naturally look upon the Lord who loves him, and listen to His serving voice. Such is a believer who is strong in the grace, and is also [ crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me]. Such are the people who genuinely humble down before God, submit to God in all things. God will add grace upon grace on him so that he will receive annointing continuously.
