A family that is led by the Holy Spirit knows that the workings in the family is established on [the relationship (kinship) that is given by Holy Spirit] and not on rules or theory. However, often when we lose the inter-relational working of this relationship, our flesh takes over and we slip into all kinds of accusations, demands and hecticness. Consequently, we all the more cannot see the work of Holy Spirit in the family and thus lose the ability to rely on the Holy Spirit to love one another. In fact, people living together has to comprehend the kinship God descends on the family so that they can love one another naturally, and they love to live in the protection of love, and be driven by love in doing all things. Try thinking: Which husband likes a wife who often complains about him? Which wife likes a husband who keeps blaming and demanding her? Which children enjoy having parents who often nag at them? And which parents like to face disobedient children? Ironically, such are often the states of our family living. This is because in family living, we are more focussed on earning a living, accomplishing certain purposes or ambitions to the extent of overlooking the inter-relational working within our relationships and unable to enjoy the power from love. So then how can the relationship be built admist the many busy tasks at home and when having to face family members who are weaker? Actually, the relationship in the family is [established through mutual influence] rather than rules or principles. Firstly, Holy Spirit is protecting us in Christ and continuously influencing us. Therefore, the family member who is closest to the Lord has to brace up and start praying for the family and influence the hearts of the family members. After that, it is from this one person that Holy Spirit will start to bring the work of love into the family, enabling family members to enjoy freedom, joy, and being considerate to others.When such spirit moves in the family, the family members will naturally be influenced and testify the power of love. Also, they will not want to destroy the current state (the timetables of family members who are unbelievers will also speed up). In principle, the higher authority will always influence the lower authority, the powerful will naturally influence the weaker ones, the ones with love will naturally influence the ones without, the joyful will naturally influence the troubled. Therefore, in the family, we have to let the Holy Spirit work and resurrect the atmosphere of doing all things in love. When we can grasp this mystery, all problems in the family will progressively dissolve.
