Prayer is the hardest to learn in this faith. Actually, it isn’t difficult to learn bible knowledge, forms and rituals, or to serve fervently. However, for a man’s spirit to reach God’s throne and receive all answers is indeed a deeply profound matter in Christian faith. If the messages we have heard today can become the conviction of our spirit, and we can live out the truth we know – all these come from prayers. The battlefield we are in with Satan is prayer. Therefore, if one can grasp the secret of prayer he is victorious in all things. He does not need any additional evidences, the fact that his spirit can receive answers abundantly from God shows that he is already victorious. A person who can pray on all occasions and in all things is indeed leading the most powerful life. Looking at the great people in bible, prayer is their greatest victory and most effective strategy against enemy (persecutions, temptations). Try thinking: Joshua and the Israelites conquered Jericho by marching around the city (prayer); David wrote the most beautiful prayers when he was being persecuted (the contents of the book of Psalms)’; when Daniel was being framed by enemy, he immediately went into prayer; when Jesus ascended to heaven, the disciples entered prayers right away; when Paul was imprisoned, his focus was also prayers, etc. They all have a similarity – in all hardships, they stepped into prayers wholeheartedly. Try asking: what secret did they gain through prayers? Why did they have such clear determination to go into prayers when they had trouble?  Some believers have some thoughts regarding prayers: “ after praying, things remain the same. After praying, man still need to do something, and sighed. Also, it is safer to pray.. etc”. These arise because they do not have an in-depth understanding on prayers. Actually, the great power and outcome of prayer comes from one seeing God [talking to me, revealing to me] in his spirit. This is what motivated many prayer warriors in the bible to pray because they wanted to receive such blessings.  Today, some people say “prayers change things” or “the power of prayers outweigh that of dynamite’s or a mighty force’. These seem correct but they are not precise enough. In fact, prayer itself doesn’t change things and is powerless. Prayer is to connect with God, understand His perfect will, and see how God is revealing to me in His glory and power. But God is changing things when He answers me, He is manifesting power when revealing to me. All these eventually enable me to receive answers in my spirit, experience His love and power. Subsequently, it makes me increasingly want to rely on Him and love to pray in all things.
