As the end time of the end approaches, man’s time seems to be shortened relatively. This is not because man live shorter, rather, it is because of the constantly changing world that we’re in (especially when internet is prevalent) that expose us to new highlights and experiences daily; time passes before man can meditate or digest the information and news that they received. Hence, from a certain angle, time passes very quickly (or the time is getting shorter). Actually, when time is running out fast, man’s personal desires are stirred up. Man wants to be thrilled, experiences strong sensation, and achieves his ideal soonest possible. This is the psychological experience that modern people are seeking unknowingly. Actually, when the hearts of men enter into such state, their power of meditation and making judgment decrease. They seem to know more, but they actually lack practical answers. They may know about science, medicine, sociology, philosophy or even theological truths, but they completely lack the foundation to make judgment when they are put to problems. Hence, they do not know where they’re heading, and cannot enjoy the blessings and relationships that God has prepared for them; thus the bible tells us that the hearts of men are growing cold (this is because they are always attacked and influenced). The pulpit may continue to explain the bible knowledge, but the spirit of men cannot understand the truth, for they cannot let go of the many selfish desires and ideals. Actually, as man is seeking for strong psychological experiences (Eg: yearning to succeed quickly when failed, feel like isolating self when feeling inferior, quick to defend self when feeling guilty, want to get what they want quickly, wanting to give up quickly when they cannot get what they want, boasting as much as they can when succeeded etc). Increasingly, man cannot recognize the following that they are living in: (1) Space. In fact, the space is influenced by the invisible spiritual realm and surrounding. But what man sees directly is the environment he is in and the people he is in touch with. Therefore, man blames the surrounding and people for his life, death, blessings and disasters. In fact, the bible tells us that the flesh, sin, and evil spirit are at works behind each man. In problems, pathetic men (including believers) want to deal with people and surrounding instead of being led into the invisible space and know how to overcome it (through relying on Christ). Moreover, increasingly, man cannot recognize that he is living in: (2) Time. Actually, when man only care about sensational experience, they will not think about the coming of end days. Although churches keep preaching about such messages, believers merely know them very abstractly, and do not go one step further and ask if their lives, dealings, and decisions are planned and advanced according to the end times. Many believers remain to have a lot of short-lived dreams for themselves and their children, not preparing for the end days that are to come. This is a state of man being deceived, and deceive selves! Hence, before Lord was persecuted (symbolized great plague), Lord said, “ a time is coming…” Similarly, this is something that is going to happen rapidly in these few years. If we are not vigilant, the days that are to come will frighten us. But if we are fully prepared (vigilant in prayers), our fighting spirit will enable us to overcome and triumph over the challenges that are to come.
