其实，很多信徒一直在寻找靠主的感觉，但他们真实际的靠主吗？往往，我们在生活忙碌当中，心里有所受到责备，觉得自己没有依靠圣灵而多半是靠血气行事。因这个的缘故我们通常觉得是因为我们读经、祷告、灵修的时间不够。有时，这样的想法不一定是绝对的。试问：神造人来读经祷告，还是得听见祂的声音来与祂同行呢？当我们将这个优先程序弄清楚了，我们才能进到蒙恩的读经祷告。其实，当我们说要靠主，我们要知道那是一个全人的事，不是限制在一个时段的事，更不是限制在一种感觉的事。当有信徒对我说：“牧师，我最近很软弱”，我很想问：“请问你软弱的根据在哪里？”一般信徒可能就会说：“因为我最近生活太忙，没有时间祷告，也没有心参加聚会，做起事情也非常血气”。其实，这是一个非常笼统的说法。因为这信徒真实的问题不在于他没祷告或是没心参加聚会，乃在于他在一般生活中看不见神确实的带领。信仰是实际的每日24小时与凡事上的事情，不是我们一天里面所做的一两次的形式，失败也不限于一天生活中一两次的软弱。所以，若我们不能将祷告融入生活，我们所做的是在寻找一个“靠主的感觉”，不是“真实靠主”。其实，比我们早上忘了祷告更不属灵是我们在生活中不继续寻找主的带领。比我们生活中几次的软弱更软弱是我们不继续学习怎么在软弱中依靠主。记住：信仰不是一个形式举动带来的感觉，乃是整个生活的规范。在那个规范中，我们的心思、意念、情感、意志是怎么进到要时时刻刻荣耀神而活，也因这个的缘故，我们不得已要祷告、读经、相聚，为的是要得在生活中更确实的引导。所以在这点上，很多信徒一直掌握不到，以致觉得要一边生活处事又要一边靠主有如一心二用。反而好像靠自己一来的方法做事才能将事务性的东西做得快也做得好，若是靠主的恩典来做事，讲究忍耐、爱心、所以做起事情就得拖泥带水。不然就是屈服于无法两者监督的看法。比如说：若是要照顾孩子与家庭就很难来聚会，若是要多来聚会就不得以要忽略家里的事。其实，这类实际的想法都是我们在祷告与生活失败所领悟出来的观点。基于这些问题，我们的灵性需要不断成长，被带到时时刻刻能真切依靠主的地步，要不然我们就渐渐会成为环境与生活节奏的奴隶。
其实，每个人都有他要面对的环境与生活节奏，但每个人在面对那环境与节奏的心却是不一样的。当生活的需求一来，有的人是只要解决问题，办完事务就好；有的纠结在很繁琐的事，以至被卷入忙乱中；有的是干脆置之不理，随心所欲来面对；但有的是要受圣灵引导。确实，神的恩惠是临到那要受祂引导的人。但有的人会说，生活这么忙，节奏这么快，怎么受引导？确实，我们不能改换环境与节奏。因为它就像围绕着一只风筝的风，或是带着船只的海浪。风筝没有风能飞吗？船只没有海浪能航行吗？不能！但风筝在大风中借着风筝线是可以断定它要走的方向和速度；船只在大浪中能借着舵和帆断定船要怎么航行。所以大风大浪只是风筝与船只利用的环境。今天，我们最大的问题是被环境冲击，受节奏使唤，但我们的眼目要放在圣灵，也实际的从中要找出圣灵的引导。倘若我们的眼目不放在“如何受圣灵引导”，我们是只有被环境辖制或是被节奏追赶，不然我们就是只有因赶不上而被淘汰，或是留在一种无可奈何的光景。那么，怎么利用大环境与忙碌的生活节奏呢？那就在于我们怎么将祷告融入我们的生活了。

Actually, many believers are always seeking for the feelings of relying on the Lord, but in reality, do they depend on the Lord? Often, in our busy living, we feel rebuked in our hearts, feeling that we have not relied on the Spirit but mostly on our flesh in doing things. And we attribute the reasons to our insufficient time spent on reading the Scripture, prayers, and devotions. Sometimes, such thinking may not be absolute. Try asking: God has created men to read the Scripture and pray, or to hear His voice and walk with Him? When we are clear of the priorities, only then are we able to step into blessed reading of Scripture and prayers. Actually, when we claim to depend on the Lord, we ought to know this is a matter of whole being, not restricting to a certain period of time, nor a kind of feeling. When believers tell me, “Pastor, I am weak recently,” I am keen to ask, “what is the evidence of your weakness?” Generally, believers may reply, “As I am quite busy lately, I do not have time to pray or join meetings, and I act more by the flesh.” Actually, this is a very general way of speaking. This is because, the real problem is not in him not praying or coming to meeting, but he cannot see God’s leading with certainty in his day-to-day living. Faith is practical, and is in the 24 hours of the day and in all things, not in the one or two things that we do. If we fail, it is not because of the one or two weaknesses. Hence, when we cannot integrate prayers into living, what we are in fact doing is merely seeking a kind of “feeling that depends on the Lord” and not “truly depends on the Lord”. Actually, more unspiritual than us forgetting to pray in the morning is, we do not continue seeking how Lord is leading in our lives. Worse than the occasional weaknesses in our lives is to stop learning how to depend on the Lord in weaknesses. Remember: Faith is not a feeling that is brought by a habitual act, but the framework of the entire living. In this framework, our mindsets, will, emotions, and thoughts seek to live by glorifying God in every moment; and because of this reason, we are compelled to pray, read the Scriptures, gather, so that we can receive more assured leading in our lives. A lot of believers cannot grasp this, as a result, they feel as if the heart is divided between living and relying on the Lord. It appears as if it will be better to use the usual method to finish the tasks at hands quickly and well, if rely on Lord’s grace in doing things, it requires endurance, love, and thus will feel a bit draggy. On the other hand, we may also surrender to the fact that we cannot handle both areas well. For example: if we are to take care of the children and family, it is hard to attend meetings; if we have to come to meetings more often, we have to neglect the household matters. Actually, these are perspectives we receive through our failures in prayers and living. In these issues, our spirituality needs to grow, and be led to depend on the Lord genuinely. If not, we will slowly be enslaved by our environment and rhythm of lives. Actually, every one has the environment and living rhythm he ought to face, but the heart every one carries into facing them can be different. When the demands of life come, some only seek to solve problems and finish the tasks; some are entangled into trivialities and are suck into busyness; some just ignore and face it as they wish; but there are also some who seek to be led by the Holy Spirit. Indeed, God’s grace will come upon those who are led by Him. Perhaps some may say, our living is so busy, and the pace is so fast, how to be guided? Indeed, we cannot change the environment and pace. They are like the wind that surrounds a flying kite, or the waves that surround the ship. But can the kite fly without the wind? Without the waves can the ship sail? No! But in the powerful wind, the thread of the kite can be used to determine the direction and speed of the kite; and in big waves, its sail and rudders can control the ship. Hence, the powerful wind and waves are merely environment which both the kite and ship can make use of. Today, our greatest problem is being attacked by the environment, and directed by the pace of living; but we ought to rest our eyes on the Holy Spirit and seek His leading practically. If our eyes are not on “how to be Holy Spirit-led”, we will only be constrained by the environment and be chased after by the pace; and we will be obsolete when we cannot keep up with them, or we will remain in helpless state. How then shall we utilize the environment, and the busy pace of life? That hinges on how we can integrate prayers into living.
