The messages these few weeks tell us that only through living by the Spirit, can we fulfill the righteousness of God. But because many people do not know Holy Spirit, they cannot live by Him. Actually, Holy Spirit is like man, with temperament, emotions and expressions, but only He is perfect (perfect loving kindness and holiness), and He cannot be met with man’s naked eyes and ears. When Holy Spirit’s temperament becomes flesh, it is like our Lord Jesus Christ, who laughed, cried, could get angry, be happy or sad. The human nature of Lord Jesus came from the Holy Spirit, thus it manifested authority and could influence people. Although we also have various emotions, because they stem from flesh, or we do not realize that they are from the Holy Spirit, thus mistook that they come from ourselves, therefore we are unable to manifest authority. King David was someone who knew the Holy Spirit, he had more feelings than anyone else. The Bible records many of his emotions. His emotions towards God and men were all expressed vividly. The authority he had as a king, the favor he got from his people, his power to terrify his enemies, were all a result of him living out the nature of the Holy Spirit, thus eventually glorifying God. So, how do we grasp the temperament of the Holy Spirit? This cannot be learned with man’s knowledge or comprehension. But when a person increasingly understands how to make the Holy Spirit within him happy, Holy Spirit will not hide from him, but will naturally reveal to him His entire temperament, emotions and expressions, and revealing them through him. Although such a person appears to be same as everyone else, with emotions like joy, anger, sadness, he practically manifests the glorious beauty of the Lord. He also naturally reveals God’s temperament in front of men, living out the living God. If we cause the Holy Spirit to grieve, Holy Spirit will gradually hide from us. When we cannot receive the temperament of Holy Spirit, we will treat God and men with our human emotions and human will. Consequently, we will slowly become hypocritical and cannot naturally display the true life of Christ. Therefore, through today’s message, we must particularly grasp the mystery of making the Holy Spirit within us happy.
