很多时候，我们信徒只有知道要服侍主，但是不知道能力从哪里来。在服侍中落入疲劳、无奈、忧烦等。那时我们便因着服侍而得着负面的心境，而不是得着恩惠。有的人在服侍当中渐渐成为严酷的人，甚至本有很温和性情的人也变得忙乱，容易着急、说话尖锐等。其实，有的人认为服侍是很简单的，就例如预备茶点、做卫生、录制音响、带领小组、敬拜赞美等，但我们没有发现这善工的背后有几个巨大的挑战。第一，这些善工是继续会受到仇敌的毁谤，如同以巴弗提在服侍中得了重病了《腓2:25-27》；第二，我们的服侍是服侍罪人的善工。试问你能与罪人（特别：生命还没得医，思想还没改正的人）讲理由吗？保罗常常告诉提摩太不可争竞，当存心忍耐《提后2:24》，纵然人刚硬也当忍受苦难，做传道的工《提后4:5》。第三，有时我们在服侍中也需要与自己的罪性交战，要不然我们常常会在服侍中落入发怨言，起争论的光景《腓2:14》，不然就是单固自己的事，不顾别人的事《腓2:4》，以至将服侍来满足自己的荣耀。最后，在种种以上的因素里，我们也可能会落入与同工之间的纠纷，因服侍而受伤分歧《腓4:2》。以上是我们在服侍的人都有可能面对的属灵战争，不管是做牧者的或是会友的都有可能会落入这样的光景。所以，我们在服侍中当【谨慎】。我们若没有意识到这些属灵的潜在攻击，就会一不小心受到服侍当中的负面影响。主愿意我们因服侍而更加的蒙恩，以至我们能见证在服侍当中神的帮助。我们在服侍众人当中，我们需要见证到“神改变众人”，不是“我改变众人”；我们要见证到“神叫事情发生”；不是“我使事情发生”；我们要经历到“神加给我力量”，不是“我需要有力量”。确实，若我们在服侍中没有经历到神的帮助，我们的心灵会越来越苦干与无助。（牧师见证：在每周繁忙的讲道事工里，若没有从神得着感动、启发和预备信息中得安慰和指示，讲道侍奉成为最难的事。因为一周过了又有另一周，牧养了一个人之后又有另一个人，解决了一个问题之后又有另一个问题。所以，我是必须看到神的帮助而事奉，不是为了事奉而事奉）。因此，我们的服侍的思想与心境要透过神的真理改为【神为】，不是建立在人的意志与努力，以至我们能羡慕善工而做，不是被事工的催逼而做。但往往说得容易，做起来难。我们纵然知道了很多真理还是防不胜防。我们纵然知道仇敌的存在与自己的软弱，我们还是被欺骗，陷入被事奉追赶而不是享受事奉。所以，我们不能留在单单知道真理。我们所知道的要成为我们灵里的【谨慎】。唯有我们在灵里谨慎，我们才不会落入那种很凡俗，常常被繁忙事务，人的软弱或自己的无能限制的服侍心态。

Often, we believers only know to serve the Lord, but we do not know where to get strength to do it, and we fall into fatigue, helplessness, frustration etc in serving. That moment, we receive negative heart instead of grace, because of our serving. Some people gradually become someone strict in their process of serving, even those who used to have gentle temperament also become easily anxious and curt in speeches etc. Some people think that it is easy to serve, such as preparing the tea, cleaning work, AV etc, leading cell groups, worship and praise etc; but we do not realize the huge challenges behind these noble tasks. Firstly, such noble tasks will continue to be slandered by the enemies, just like how Epaphroditus fell sick during his serving (Php 2:25-27); secondly, our serving is the noble task of serving sinners. Who can reason with sinners (in particular: unhealed souls, mindset that has yet to transform)? Paul often told Timothy not to be quarrelsome or resentful (2 Ti 2:24), even if people are stubborn, we ought to still endure, and do the work of an evangelist (Php 2:14). If not, we are merely caring for our own matters, ignoring others’ (Php 2:4), and we may serve to satisfy our own glory. Lastly, in the above-mentioned factors, we may also go into conflicts with co-workers, and we may be hurt and become divided because of our serving (Php 4:2). These are the spiritual battles we might face in our serving, and both pastors and church-attendees will face such circumstances. Therefore, we ought to be careful in serving. If we are unaware of the hidden spiritual attacks in it, the serving may influence us negatively. The Lord is willing for us to be more blessed through serving, such that we can witness the help of God through serving. In serving all, we need to witness that “God is changing all people”, not “I am changing all people”; we need to witness how “God causes things to happen”, not “I cause things to happen”; we need to experience “God adds strength on me”, not “I need to have strength”. Indeed, if we do not experience the help of God in our serving, our spirit will be more and more dried up and helpless. (Pastor’s testimony: in the busy preaching ministry I have weekly, if I do not receive conviction and insights from God, and the comfort and instructions in message preparation, the serving and preaching will only become insurmountable tasks. Week after week, shepherd one after another, solving one problem after another. Therefore, I must see God’s help and then serve, not serve because of serving). The mindset and heart of our serving must become [God-driven] through the truth of God, it is not anchored upon determination and hard work of men, such that we desire noble tasks and do, rather than being pushed into ministry. Of course, it is easier said than done. Despite knowing so many truths, we still cannot help it. Despite knowing the presence of enemy and our own weaknesses, we are still deceived, and reduce to the state of being chased by serving, rather than enjoying our serving. Hence, we cannot remain at head knowledge only. The truth we have known must become the [caution] in our spirit. As we are spiritually cautious, we will not fall into the serving attitude that makes us feel routine, often being rushed by works, restricted by people and personal weaknesses.
