We may assume that the Christians who live in countries heavily persecuted face great challenges. But actually, we who live in comfortable society are facing greater spiritual battle. Unknowingly, we live in city where the spiritual force hidden beneath is great, for the influence of the beast from the Abyss and the great city is global. In the Bible, whenever we see the prophecy on the end days, that is always times when ethics and culture have reached very advanced state, and the society is prosperous, such as the prophecy on Babylon. Maybe we see that people around us are pursuing the worldly success and enjoyment; the civilization and culture are also very tempting, and many believers also compromise in their living. Bear in mind how the flood and sulphur once came upon the world, and at those time, who did God center on, as judgment was brought. Maybe it is very strenuous to keep up with the weekly meeting, and it is difficult to bring children to the church, and sometimes we give up the opportunity to earn more as we decide to lead a godly life. But if we do not become the spiritual central figures in this era, we will naturally be eaten up by the comfortable society we are in. But if we become Christians who carry our Cross in the comfortable society we are in, God will bring about changes around us through our prayers, so that the gospel will be greatly preached through our set apart, and we can receive glory with the Lord.
