倘若神创造人的时候所给予他的应许是叫他生养众多，遍满地面，管理与治理一切，那神必定是将能够生养、管理、治理一切的智慧通达放在他的心中。《西2:3》告诉我们一切的智慧知识都在基督里面隐藏着。所以，当神的救赎在基督里临到了我们，我们要晓得那救赎里隐藏着神创造与运行在万有里的一切智慧。当然, 这不是说一个人信了主，他每样东西都会知道。事实上，我们信了主之后还有很多东西是不知道的，但是从那时起，我们对万事万有能够通达的潜能是已经在我们里面了。因为主应许那在我们里面的圣灵会凡事上指教我们《约14:26》。所以，我们的心要赞叹神的智慧，也切慕神的智慧，如同赞叹我们主耶稣在万有中无论看到什么，马上能够将此说出天国的比喻。祂无论面对怎样的人，能够向他们讲出福音的奥秘。今天，很多人到教会是只有找感觉，他们听道是专注与得好感，不是在真理的光照中生发智慧与通达的心。他们不去问：“为何我听的真理无法应用出来呢？为何我听了道却无法在管理家庭与处理人事有智慧呢？为何我无法与有些人传福音呢？”虽然我们每个人都在知识与智慧上欠缺，但神叫我们要追求智慧，不可离开它，反而要爱它《箴4:6》。有些信徒说：“我们只有认识神爱我们就够了！不需要认识这么多复杂的道理，到了时候圣灵会指教我们”。其实，这种说法非常愚昧，且削弱我们基督信仰的深度。没错，“神爱我们”是最重要的真理，但试问这个爱怎么带来神在凡事上指教、保护、安慰、引导我们呢？确实，一个越来越认识福音的奥秘的人是越来越有「深度」，但同时也越来越「实际」。为什么有深度呢？因为他认识了看不见的属灵原理。他不是单单凭肉眼来活，或是只处理现象问题。因为他从福音真理认识了每一件事情背后的运作原理，例如：人心灵的原理、家庭婚姻的原理、钱财流动的原理、人际关系的原理等。这其中的原理非世界的原理，乃是背后有神透过祂创造的精神与原理在背后运行。例如：倘若我们为了自己想得什么反而会失去。我们为了主而失去的反而会得着。看得见的世界都受到背后看不见的世界的原理来影响。所以，一个通达的心也是一个有深度的心。他的深度来自他认识与确信了看不见的属灵原理，这将要使他比一般的人更智慧通达。但另外，他也同时是一个实际的人。若我们的深度是不贴实际的，那我们讲在深奥的道理也是一种高言大字。我们要知道，当一门知识用不着，那就不是智慧了。例如：你若将电脑背后错中复杂的编程概要告诉我，但我现在要从电脑开一个文件，找寻一个质料都不会，那你告诉我的只是知识，不是智慧。或者我们可以学很多养育儿女的道理和原则，但是当孩子现在不听话或闹情绪时，我们却不懂得使用我们学的道理，那我们学的儿女教育法只是一种知识，不是智慧。可能智慧的应用不一定能带来马上理想的见效，但智慧是一定有一个现在能行得通的道路，因为圣灵不但叫我们想起神的话，祂也在凡事上指教我们。同时，祂也将那世人不认识的平安（且是我们灵魂在每时每刻最需要的）赐给我们。愿我们在2018年，在基督里成为一个又有深度，且有实际感的信徒。

In the beginning during creation, if God has given man the promise to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over all the creatures, then God must have put the wisdom and understanding to do all these in men’s heart. <Col 2:3>  tells us that all wisdom and treasure are hidden in Christ. Therefore, when God’s redemption comes upon us through Christ, we ought to understand, all wisdom of God’s creation and how He moves all things are hidden in the redemption. Certainly, we are not saying that after a person believes in the Lord, he will know all things. In fact, we still don’t know many things after we have come to the Lord, but from that moment onwards, the potential to have understanding in all things is within us, because the Lord has promised that the Holy Spirit inside us will instruct us in all things < Jn 14:26>. Therefore, our hearts need to praise of God’s wisdom, and yearn for His wisdom, just as we are in awe of how our Lord Jesus who can immediately speak the kingdom parables in all things that He sees. No matter who He faced, He could tell them the mystery of gospel. Today, many come to church just to seek feelings, and in listening to the sermons, they focus only on good feel instead of the wisdom and understanding that may grow in the heart as the gospel illuminates. Neither do they ask, “Why can’t I apply the Truth I have heard? Why can’t I have wisdom in managing my family and others after listening to the Truth? Why can’t I evangelize with some people?” Although we are all inadequate in knowledge and wisdom, God wants us not to forsake wisdom, and love wisdom <Pr 4:6>. Some believers say, “It is enough to know that God loves us! Do not need to know such complex truths, for the Holy Spirit will instruct us when time comes. “ Actually, such saying is foolish, and weaken the depth of our Christian faith. Certain, “God loves us” remains the most important truth, but how does this love brings about the reality of God instructing, protecting, comforting, and leading us in all things? Actually, a person who knows the mystery of gospel increasingly will be more and more of [depth], but at the same time, he is also increasingly [practical]? Why depth? Because he has known the invisible spiritual principles. He is not living by what he sees on naked eyes, or only dealing with phenomenal issues. From the Truth, he knows of the principles operating behind every matter, eg: the principle of man’s soul, the principle of family and spousal living, the principles of money, and interpersonal relationship etc. These principles are not worldly, rather, the creativity spirit of God and and principles of creation of God are operating behind them. For example: If we want to gain something, we may lose them instead; yet if we lose it for the Lord we may receive it instead. The principles of the invisible world are influencing the visible world. Therefore, a heart of understanding is also a heart with depth. His depth comes from him knowing and confirming the invisible spiritual truth, making him more wise and prudent than most people. Besides, he is also a practical person. If our depth is not relevant and practical, the mysterious truth we talk about will remain lofty knowledge. We need to know, when we cannot use the knowledge, it is then not wisdom. For example: You can tell me the complex programming of a computer, but if I am unable to open a computer document to look for information, then the knowledge you told me will remain knowledge and not wisdom. Or we learn about the many principles of training children. But if the children are disobedient or throwing tantrum, and we do not know how to exercise the knowledge we have learnt, the principles we have learnt will remain knowledge and not wisdom. Perhaps we cannot use all wisdom ideally immediately, or effectively, but the wisdom will surely brings you to a workable path. This is because, not only does the Holy Spirit reminds us of God’s Word, He also instructs us in all things. He gives the transcending peace (the most needed thing in our soul in every moment) not known to the world to us too. In 2018, may we become a believer with depth and practicality in Christ.
