我们虽然略知神的话，甚至有些也将圣经起码读过一遍了，但我们怎么知道自己所想的是合神心意的呢？或者我们每天都需要做很多的判断与决策，我们又怎么对自己的判断有把握呢？大多数的人只有相信自己的感觉，也跟着感觉走。但是他们没有发现自己的感觉是受自己的心思意念支配的。就如同纵然有时情况叫我们暂时感到很消极，但若我们有那能够叫我们不继续消极下去的心思意念，那种消极感是很快被淹没，也不能占据我们太久的。确实，我们最大的战争是在我们的心思意念里发生。当仇敌掌控了我们的心思意念，我们的情感意志都会受它左右了。《林后10:4-5》告诉我们说：“我们争战的兵器本不是属血气的...（是要）将人所有的【心意】夺回，使它都顺服基督”。在这里讲到夺回心意时，有两个很重要的因素：① 要争战；② 用不是属血气的兵器（神的话）。现在，很多教会都是轻描淡写的传讲神的话，信徒也表面的学习神的话。但试问我们的心思意念是否透过学习神的话被夺回而降服基督呢？确实，很多信徒觉得自己爱耶稣，但他没有问自己是否有爱耶稣的心思意念，所以他是这么快受人的话和环境影响。他今天可能感觉自己爱耶稣，能忽然奉献一大笔钱或是参与某些服侍，但不久后也可能又会因一些不如意的事情受伤害而离开教会。另外，当我们走出教会，活在这学问、资讯与情报与日俱增的社会里，我们是否在基督里有蒙恩与坚固的心思意念来判断各样的事物呢？圣经清楚告诉我们人的心思意念是联结与灵界，这灵界继续透过世界各种的事物与论点与我们的心思意念争战，为要叫人不顺服神（真理）。仇敌所用的攻势是属灵的，且是那要掳掠我们心思意念的事。试想，当我们活在这越来越堕落的世界，我们有没有能够与仇敌争战的心思意念呢？我们争战不是因为我们喜爱争战，乃是因为我们要保存真理的纯净度，且保护自己的心怀意念不受世界污染，这样我们也才能保护我们所爱的人。倘若我们的心思意念是只能在教会唱诗敬拜主，但是一离开教会之后，在面对众教会不同教义、道德言论或是各种社会趋势等，我们便无法判断，反而被弄得心烦意乱，那试问我们又怎么能站立得住，且为信仰作出强而有力的见证呢？有些信徒虽然常常听道，但是之后听见人说什么，就信什么，那就显示他根本没有判断的根基。他不坚固的心思意念会叫他很容易被世界的资讯左右。他可能听的是神的道，但在实际生活中是跟着感觉走。所以，一个属灵的信徒绝不能忽略自己心思意念的建立。倘若一个情报叫我们担心，或是一句人的话叫我们纠结，或是一个难处叫我们无助，我们一定要靠主进到心思意念的争战，从中领悟出主的旨意，且晓得最终怎么降服与基督。为此，我们圣民一定要晓得在心思意念的争战得胜，这样一来我们也才能够晓得如何将人的心意夺回，降服与基督。

Although we know a little of God’s word, and even some may have read the entire Bible at least once, how do we know if our thoughts are aligned with God’s desire? Perhaps, in our daily lives, we need to make a lot of judgement and be involved in a lot of decision-making, how can we be sure of our own judgement? Most people only believe their feelings, and go according to what they feel. However, they are not aware that their feelings are being dominated by their minds. Just like there are times when some situations caused us to be temporarily negative, but if we receive the thoughts that we cannot continue to remain negative, feelings of negativity will quickly be drowned, and cannot occupy us for long. Indeed, our greatest battle happens in our minds. When the enemy takes control of our minds, our emotions and will become manipulated by him. <2 Co 10:4-5> tells us: “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world…(to) take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” Here, when it talks about taking captive every thought, there are two important factors: (1) Must battle; (2) but not with weapons of the world (use God’s word). Nowadays, many churches superficially preach the word of God. Believers also learn the word of God on the surface. But try asking, are our minds taken captive and made obedient to Christ through learning God’s word? Truly, many believers think that they love Jesus but they do not ask themselves if they love the mind of Jesus. Therefore, they are easily influenced by the words of people and the environment. Today, they may feel that they like Jesus, and suddenly offer a huge sum of money or participate in certain ministries. But not long after, it is also possible that they leave the church after some unpleasant situations or are being hurt. Also, when we leave church and live in a society with increasing knowledge, news and information, do we have blessed and strong mind in Christ to judge all things? The Bible clearly tells us that our minds are connected to the spiritual realm. The spiritual realm continues to battle with our minds through the things and arguments of this world, to cause us not to submit to God (the Truth). The attack tactics used by the enemy are spiritual, and serve to capture our minds. Think about this, when we live in an increasingly depraved world, do we have the mind to fight with the enemy? We fight not because we like to fight, but because we want to preserve the purity of the truth and protect our hearts and minds from the pollution of this world. It is by this way that we can protect those whom we love. If our minds only allow us to attend church and sing hymns to worship the Lord but when we leave church and face different teachings of various churches, moral teachings or societal trends, we are unable to judge or are being frustrated or confused, then what do we have that allows us to stand firm, and are able to testify our faith with strength? Some believers may often listen to the word of God but after that, believe whatever people tell them. This reflects that they do not have a foundation in their judgement. Their weak minds will easily cause them to be manipulated by the world. They may be listening to the word of God but in their practical living, they are following their feelings. Therefore, a spiritually mature believer should definitely not neglect the building up of his mind. If a piece of information causes us to worry, or words of man cause us to struggle, or a problem causes us to be helpless, we must rely on the Lord to enter a fight with our minds, and from there, understand the will of God and eventually grasp how to submit to Christ. To this end, we saints must know how to achieve victory in the fight against our minds, and from there, we know how to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
