主用「时间」教导我们，也用「经历」指教我们。确实，时间和经历给我们很多的亮光，使我们实际的反思。对有些事情，我们可能十多岁时不明白，直到三十岁才明白。有些事情我们三十几岁没感悟，到了五十几岁就有感悟。在时间与经历里，特别是当我们遇见有些试炼与苦难，例如：挫折、失败、得失、瓶颈等，我们的心就会被刺激，那时我们就会有另一番的领悟，且会从另一个角度看事情，或者我们对有些事物与人事的事情会看得更加的准确。这就是智慧的心了。所以，摩西祈祷说：“求主指教我们怎样数算自己的日子，好叫我们得着智慧的心”。圣经所讲的数算也不单是过生日一般，知道自己今年已经多大年龄了，因此带着一些的惋惜。那也更不是因察觉岁月不留人，想快快享受人生。数算日子乃是按着主的应许回想我们的经过，包括我们当时的眼光、心态、与所做的许多决定和之后换来的后果。在这当儿也认清我们的有限和神奇妙的作为。或许在这当儿我们也发现自己一直重复在一些的问题里，然后神借着一些环境和人使我们有另一个开启。在这种种的反思中，我们更加靠近神的眼光与心肠。这就是智慧的心了，因为神就是一切智慧的开端。受祂指教才有智慧。所以，无论我们目前在怎样的年龄，若我们懂得数算自己的日子，我们都会看到自己的盲点与软弱，且神在其中施展的恩典。这样的生命才是一个越来越有智慧、有幸福、且敬虔爱主的生命。因为我们对今生的短暂与有限真开通了，以至我们将希望放在神所赐的永恒无限。有时在这当儿，我们渐渐越过很多人对我们的评语、暂时的挫败、经济的缺乏、身体的小病痛、甚至是死亡之事。确实，这是圣民生命的荣耀所在。保罗也说：我们这至暂至轻的苦楚，要为我们成就极重无比、永远的荣耀。《林后4:17》。但有时话说回来，若我们好好观察，不是每个人在时间与经历中得着智慧的心。有的人是越来越忧愁、担忧、受伤、苦毒、迷惑等。有些人则落入婚姻问题或者与儿女的关系越来越糟糕。他们走不出自己的困惑，以致跟着年岁得着的是更多的遗憾与后悔。最后他们人生的结论就是怨天尤人，要不就是羡慕别人比他好。为何这世界也充满这样的人呢？因为他们不懂得数算自己的日子。为何不懂得数算呢？原因是他们心中没有神的真理，就算有了神的话，他们也是常常轻看神的话，没将神的话当做真理来认识一切。确实，事实最后总是会显露的。一个人靠真理或不靠真理的结果也会在他的年岁与对人生的看透中显明出来。其实，真理是将我们所有的时间和经历综合起来，使我们得着神的智慧，成为一个有生命、有深度、以及老练的信徒。真理也叫我们在看事情与看人时不是只有看表面，更不是只相信自己的感觉。确实，我们的情况与情绪都是善变。只有神的应许不变，且有神要成就的旨意必定长存。所以，当世人都在这变化无双的世界徘徊，被所看见所听见的摆布，我们要懂得察验神的旨意。所以，求主指教我们，使我们的心有智慧，以至我们能常受圣灵指教，活在上头而来的恩惠中。

The Lord uses “time” to teach us and “experience” to guide us. Indeed, time and experience give us much enlightenment, causing us to practically reflect. There are some things that we may not understand when we were in our teens, but will understand when we are in our thirties. There are also some things we didn't realize in our thirties, but we realize them in our fifties. In time and experience, especially when we meet some trials and sufferings, such as frustration, failure, gains and losses, bottlenecks, etc., our hearts will be hit. It is also at that time when we will have another insight, and we will also look at things from another perspective or we can perceive matters and people more accurately. This is a heart of wisdom. Therefore, Moses prayed, “Teach us Lord to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” What the Bible teaches on numbering our days is not just about celebrating birthdays, knowing how old we are this year and hence have certain regrets. It is also not because we realise that time and age do not wait for people and therefore now want to enjoy life quickly. To number our days is to recall our journey according to the Lord's promises, including our perspectives, mentality, and the many decisions made back then and the consequences they brought. In the process, we also recognize our limitations and God’s amazing work. Perhaps, we also find ourselves remaining in some problems, and then God gives us another opening through some environment and people. In these reflections, we grow closer to the perspective and heart of God. This is the heart of wisdom, because God is the beginning of all wisdom. Those who are taught by Him will have wisdom. Therefore, regardless of our current age, if we know how to number our days, we will see our blind spots and weaknesses, and the grace God has shown in them. Such a life is one that grows in wisdom, blessedness and godliness. This is because we have opened up our mind to the temporal nature and limitations of life. Instead, we place our hopes on the infinite eternity that God has given. Sometimes in the midst, we gradually look beyond the comments of many people, temporary setbacks, financial lack, physical illnesses, and even death. Indeed, this is the glory of the lives of the saints. Paul also said, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” <2 Co 4:17>.  But sometimes, if we examine carefully, not everyone has the heart of wisdom with time and experience. Some people grow increasingly glum, worried, hurt, bitter, troubled, etc. Some people fall into marital problems or their relationship with their children worsen over time. They can't walk out of their own troubles, so as they age, they have more doubts and regrets. In the end, the conclusion of their lives, if it is not to blame others, they will envy others who are better than them. Why is this world full of such people? Because they don't know how to number their days. Why don't they know how to number? The reason is that they don't have the truth of God in their hearts. Even if they have God's word, they often look down on God's word and do not regard God's word as the truth to know all things. Indeed, the truth will always be revealed in the end. The result of a person relying on the truth or otherwise is also revealed through his age and his insight to life. In fact, the truth helps to combine all our time and experiences, so that we can get the wisdom of God and become a believer with life, depth and character. The truth also teaches us to view things and people not just at the surface. All the more, it does not teach us to believe our own feelings. Indeed, our situations and moods are ever changing. Only the promises of God will not change and the will that God wants to accomplish will surely last. Therefore, when people of this world are wandering in this constantly changing world, and are controlled by what they see and hear, we must know how to examine the will of God. Therefore, ask the Lord to teach us so that we have a heart of wisdom, and can always be taught by the Holy Spirit and live in the grace from above.
